Located within the main overall exhibition addressing the Biennale them of Common Ground within the Arsenale, the exhibit by Zaha Hadid Architects (ZHA) presents the practices's current work as being part of a continuation of a common historical thread of research. It draws from the works of research including that of Frei Otto.
At the centerpiece of their exhibit is a pleated metal structure, a first of its type, exploring the structural and architectural possibilities of combining a complex shell structure and a tensile structure.
