The Mexican Pavilion - St Lorenzo Church 

The Mexican exhibition addressed the Biennale theme of Common Ground through exploring the architecture and construction of cultural buildings in Mexico. The works highlighted the collaborative nature of these projects, as well as the importance of these buildings to the community.

It featured several key buildings which demonstrate adaption and construction of new cultural buildings in Mexico.

The concept of constructing and using cultural buildings is also literary communicated through the agreement between Mexico and the Commune of Venice to restore St Lorenzo church in exchange of using the space for art and architecture biennales for the next 9 years.
