Australia opens! Augmented Australia

Australia's exhibition, Augmented Australia, drew a large crowd gathered on the lawns and under a large "cloud" structure which houses trigger images and space to virtually visit the unbuilt projects.

Both historic and contemporary Australian projects that were never built, or won't ever be built, are now realised and regenerated using the latest emerging technology, augmentating the projects so they can at last be experienced.

It's not only trigger images and interactive 3d models, but GPS based technology allowing the visitor to move through and within the building interactively within a physical space. It montages Venice with Australian projects, at once enabling an experience of these buildings never previously possible, as well as communicating the evolution of Australian architecture and identity over the last 100 years, from 1914-2014.
